Hello, my name is Michael Sand. I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Visual Communications in 2017.
Ever since I was a child I loved to create art. I started out by drawing my favorite characters from books, movies and video games. Through my time at Seattle Pacific University, as well working in various design environments, I have come to enjoy branding, advertising and world building. There is something unique about creating a brand identity, and guidelines, that describe an entities’ values and personality with a simple mark and a few colors. Also, creating content that is meant to reach a target audience that can keep them interested, as well as invite them to be a part of an experience is also a passion of mine. Finally, through an internship at a film company in Seattle, I have found that creating artifacts that tell their own unique story, all while strengthening a larger one, is an unusual challenge that I thoroughly enjoy. These are some of my passions in design, and I feel that they also translate into my design skills.
